Determine the space requirements

With our BicycleJacks, you can park your bike in the most space-saving way possible – even in narrow spaces. Find out how to determine the required space depth here!

The following data is based on standard bicycles with

  • a handlebar width of 65 cm,
  • a bike height of 110 cm,
  • and a bike length of 180 cm.

01

Depth of space when entering and exiting parking spaces

If you park and unpark the bike at a 90° angle to the wall, the depth of the space should be at least 240 cm.

If you also want to install BicycleJacks opposite, the clear wall dimension must be at least 350 cm.

With the BicycleJack Twist, however, the bicycle can also be easily parked and unparked at any other angle to the wall. For example, even if the BicycleJack has been swung flat against the wall. The BicycleJack Twist is therefore also ideal for parking bicycles in narrow spaces.

02

Room depth when parked

To determine how far your bike stands into the room when it is at a 90° angle to the wall, simply measure the height of your bike (floor to top attachment) and add the following information depending on the BicycleJack variant:

BicycleJack Basic (all versions) = bike height + 0 cm

BicycleJackTwist, tire width 61 mm = bike height + 5.6 cm

BicycleJackTwist, tire width 130 mm = bike height + 11.6 cm

With a parking angle of approximately 0° to the wall, your bike protrudes into the room according to its handlebar width.
